3 Egyptians and 30 tourists rescued in Red Sea boating incident

The Hurghada naval base rescue team has succeeded in rescuing 3 Egyptians and 30 tourists of various nationalities after the diving boat Iktisar broke down on a cruise to Giftun island in the Red Sea.

Central operations in the Red Sea Governorate received word the Iktisar had broken down and determined the boat belonged to one of the Red Sea diving centers. The tourists were transferred to a different boat but a number of them decided not to continue the trip. A report was filed on the incident, and the prosecution has launched an investigation.

No injuries were reported.
