96 Chinese and Taiwanese citizens sentenced to prison over passing international calls

The Economic Court in Alexandria has sentenced 96 Chinese and Taiwanese citizens to prison over passing international calls without monitoring to get profits, causing losses for Telecom Egypt.
 
Two Taiwanese citizens were sentenced to five years of hard labor and fined LE500,000 each. The remaining 94 Taiwanese and a Chinese were sentenced to two years of hard labor and fined LE100,000.
 
The court also ordered all the convicts to pay LE19.5 million as compensation.
