Alexandria hit with heavy rain again early Monday

Alexandria was hit with a third round of heavy rain after midnight on Sunday, stoking fears of more flooding after heavy rain caused flooding and killed five people in late October.
 
Many locals evactuated streets and businesses closed down as a precaution. 
 
President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi paid a visit to the province on Monday and ordered its drainage network to be updated within ten days.
 
The province's new governor, Ahmed al-Edkawi, a former intelligence service official, was also appointed on Monday, replacing Hani al-Messiry who tendered his resignation in October yielding to public anger over his performance.
 
Violent rainstorms have killed at least 25 in neighboring Beheira since October.
