Arab UN committee to meet French ambassador over Palestine

The Arab ministerial committee responsible for monitoring the Palestine file in the United Nations will meet in Cairo with the French Foreign Minister to discuss the French draft resolution to be submitted to the Security Council on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, said Palestinian FM Riyad al-Maleky.

The Official Voice of Palestine Radio said Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shokry mentioned that a meeting will take place soon between Laurent Fabius and the Arab ministerial committee, though a specific date was not given.

"What we heard about France postponing the submission of the draft resolution to the Security Council at America's request seems to be untrue," Maleky added.

The Arab Ministerial Committee at the United Nations is chaired by Egypt and includes Morocco, Kuwait, Palestine and the Secretary General of the Arab League Nabil al-Araby.
