Bad weather expected across Egypt until weekend

The Meteorological Authority warned of bad weather across the country, during this week, especially on the north and east, where low and middle clouds are expected to be intensive, on Tuesday, accompanied by heavy rains on the northern coastal cities and Sinai.
 
The Meteorological Authority experts expected low and middle clouds accompanied by rainfall on the north coast, Lower Egypt and Sinai. It added rains will extend to Cairo, north and south Upper Egypt, and Halayib and Shalateen.
 
The Authority said winds will be mostly northwesterly between light to moderate on Wednesday, and will be active on different areas north of the country and on the Mediterranean Sea, where maritime traffic is expected to be suspended.
 
Egypt was hit Monday by a wave of bad weather, as there were rains on the North Coast, Lower Egypt, Sinai, and some parts of Cairo, north and south Upper Egypt, and Halayib and Shalateen.
 
The wind was mostly northwesterly between light to moderate. It has been active on certain parts north the country and on the Mediterranean Sea leading to the disruption of maritime traffic.
 
The weather was cold on north Upper Egypt, and moderate during the day and cold at night on south Upper Egypt. 
 
The Meteorological Authority said the Mediterranean was in turmoil as waves ranged between 4 and 5 meters. Waves in the Red Sea ranged between one meter and 3 meters. Wind was northwesterly. The Authority expected the bad weather to continue until the end of the week.
