Assistant North Sinai Security Director Ali al-Azzazy said a bomb exploded on the Ring Road in the Masaeed district when an armored police vehicle was passing through. There explosion, however, caused no casualties.
He added that police forces are combing the area to make sure there are no other explosives and that they are searching for suspects.
There have been several attacks on police and army forces since the ouster of Mohamed Morsy, leaving several dead on both sides.
