Book covers Copts and the Revolution

The Coptic Anglican Communion published a book titled “The Copts and the Revolution” for Rev. Andrea Zaki, the head of the communion in Heliopolis.

The book cites the role of the Copts in the 25 January 2011 and 30 June 2013 revolutions and reviews the sectarian incidents that occurred from January 2011 to June 2013. It also talks about the relationship between the church and the regime from one of alliance to one of rebellion.

“It is basically a biography of an experience that one may not go through again in his life,” said Zaki, adding that the Copts and the church play an important role in Egyptian society.
