Brotherhood students and security clash violently near Cairo University

Violent clashes erupted in Nahda Square, near Cairo university, between pro-Brotherhood students at the university and the security forces stationed at the square.
 
Students threw stones at the forces who responded by firing tear gas at them.
 
Demonstrators chanted slogans against the Interior Ministry and demanded the trial of its leaders on claims of repressing student demonstrators at both Al-Azhar and Cairo Universities.
 
Many ambulances were present near the scene to help out in the case of injuries from the clashes.
 
As a result of the clashes, traffic at the busy Nahda Square was disrupted, leading traffic officers to find detours for vehicles.
