Daqahlia court sentences 16 Brotherhood members to 3 years over protests

The Manzala district court in Daqahlia sentenced on Friday 16 members of the Muslim Brotherhood to three years, levying a fine of LE10.000 and a LE5,000 bail over charges of rioting last march.
 
The defendants were found guilty of affiliation with a terrorist group, assaulting public and private property and disrupting public security.
 
They were arrested last March during protests calling for the reinstatement of deposed president Mohamed Morsy.
