Dostour Party to convene Saturday over 30 June protests

Dostour Party founder Mohamed ElBaradei has called party leaders together for a Saturday meeting at the Centre for Leadership Development to finalize arrangements for upcoming 30 June protests, the party announced Friday.

The Dostour supreme committee would be joined by deputy heads, founders and secretaries from across Egypt at the meeting, party deputy chief Ahmed al-Boraei told Al-Masry Al-Youm.

"The meeting will discuss the latest developments in Egyptian politics as well as arrangements for 30 June," Boraei said, adding that a party committee had been formed to coordinate with the opposition Tamarod ("rebel") campaign.

"The meeting will also discuss arrangements for the general conference of the party," Boraei added.

The Dostour Party is intensifying its efforts to rally around 30 June demonstrations, which demand a withdrawal of confidence in President Mohamed Morsy and early presidential elections.
