EGX losses 22.4 billion, benchmark fells 7.1% during October 2014

The benchmark index EGX30 fell 7.1 percent during October 2014, recording 9,115.63 points from 9,811.40 at September's end, stock market data showed.  
 
The small and mid-cap index EGX70 also fell 4.3 percent to 609.9 points from 637.30.
 
Market capitalization lost more than LE22 billion to reach LE504.2 billion, compared with LE526.20 billion at the end of September.
 
While, during the first ten months of 2014, indices headed north, as EGX30 rose by more than 34 percent or from 6,782.84 points at the end of 2013.
 
Market capitalization increased during the ten-month period by more than LE77.4 billion from LE 426.8 billion at the end of 2013
