Health Minister Adel Adawy said Egyptian hospitals received 216 Palestinians, who were wounded during the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, through the Rafah crossing since the beginning of the aggression in early July.
He added in a statement on Sunday that was quoted by EG-News that 35 cases were already discharged from hospitals after their conditions improved, 21 victims died and 160 cases are still receiving treatment at 18 hospitals.
At least 1,900 Palestinians and more than 60 Israeli soldiers were killed in the military operation, which Israel says came in response to rockets fired by Hamas on its territory.
Egypt and other international forces did not succeed in mediating a cease-fire between the two sides.
