Egypt’s market gains $1.3 bn on Sunday, EGX30 Index soars 3.5%

Egyptian shares ended on a strong positive note for the second consecutive session following the Arab markets rebound, dealers said.

The EGX30 Index soared 3.46 percent to record 8,690.43 points. Meanwhile, the EGX70 and the EGX100 also closed on a strong a positive note , up 2.46 percent and 2.55 percent respectively.

"The market achieved gains today on the back of foreign institutions purchases which recorded a net flow of LE24.48 million coupled with a slight recovery in Arab stock exchanges", Sigma Securities Brokerage said.

 Meanwhile, local institutions and Arab retail investors recorded net sales of LE21.47million and LE12.25million respectively.

EGX market capital gained LE9.55 billion (US$1.3 billion) to hit LE485.56 billion compared to LE476.01 billion on Thursday .
