Egypt’s market gains LE10 bn on Monday, EGX30 jumps 2.8%

Egypt's market jumped during Monday's session, after Italy's Eni announced a potentially huge natural gas discovery off the country's coast, according to Reuters.
 
The benchmark EGX30 index surged 2.79 percent, to 7,252.43 with a turnover of LE610 million, the Egyptian Exchange data showed.
 
Meanwhile, the small and mid-cap EGX70 index and the broader EGX100 index rose by 1.68 percent and 1.72 percent, respectively.
 
Local and Arab institutions were net buyers recording net flows of LE61.1 million and LE17.6 million respectively, while foreign institutions were net sellers recording net flows of LE941,191.
 
The EGX market capital gained LE9.79 million (US$1.25 billion), hitting LE447.74 billion, compared to LE437.95 billion on Sunday.
