Egypt’s market loses LE4.9 billion on Tuesday, EGX30 drops 1.5%

Egypt's market incurred heavy losses on Tuesday for the third session in a raw, as the benchmark EGX30 index fell by 1.5 percent, recording 7,752.94  points and a turnover of LE353 million, the Egyptian Exchange data showed.
 
Meanwhile, the small and mid-cap EGX70 index and the broader EGX100 index declined by 1.4 percent and 1.54 percent, respectively.  
 
Local, foreign and Arab institutions were net sellers, recording net flows of LE13.2 million, LE26 million and LE1.1 million, respectively, while local retail investors were net buyers, recording net flows of LE32 million.
 
The EGX market capital lost LE4.89 billion (US$635 million), hitting LE479.3 billion, compared to LE484.19 billion on Monday.
