Egypt’s stocks rise 2.4% on Wednesday, gain LE5.7 billion

The Egyptian stock exchange made remarkable gains in Wednesday’s session backed by Foreign and Arabs institutions’ buying.
 
The EGX30 index soared 2.37 percent breaking the resistance level of 8,835 points to record 8,952.25 points on a high turnover of LE933 millon, Sigma Securities Brokerage said.
 
Foreign and Arabs institutions’ buying appetite reached LE29.58 million and LE23.49 million respectively, stock market data showed.
 
On the other hand, Egyptian retail investors and local institutions were net sellers at LE18.23 million and LE16.91 million respectively.
 
The market capitalization gained LE5.7 billion to close at LE500.1 billion compared to LE494.4 billion on Monday.
