Environment Minister calls for unified African position at Paris Climate Change Conference

Environment Minister Khaled Fahmy has called for a unified and supportive African position in the negotiations of the Paris Climate Change Conference this year.
 
He said that African countries will continue to move together, taking into account the mitigation of the negative effects of climate change on the African continent.
 
He also said that Egypt in its capacity as president of the African Ministerial Conference will support the continent to reach a successful outcome in Paris and beyond.
 
He added that the main regional program adopted by the African Ministerial Conference works on a sustainable land management, the desertification, the biodiversity and the adaptation of ecosystems to climate change.
