Four gunmen killed, 2 officers wounded in attack on Rafah military post

Army troops in North Sinai killed four militants on Monday, in response to an attack by gunmen on a military post in the Tawil Al-Amir area.

According to a security source in North Sinai, two officers were injured in the attack and taken to the hospital.

North Sinai has been witnessing violence between armed groups, the army and the police since the army ousted President Mohamed Morsi, who belonged to the Muslim Brotherhood, after mass protests against him in 2013.

Hundreds from both sides have been killed in the violence.
