Friday’s weather forecast

Meteorologists predict hot and humid weather on Friday in Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the north of Upper Egypt, with a maximum of 38 degrees centigrade in the captial.
 
Very hot weather is predicted in the south of Upper Egypt. Qena should hit 43C, while Luxor will be around 42C and Aswan around 43C.
 
The north of Egypt, meanwhile, will be cooler, with Alexandria at 33C, while the Sinai resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh will be a much warmer 38C.
 
Mist will affect visibility on roads in the morning along the north coast, in Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the Suez Canal cities. Low-level cloud is expected along the north coast.
 
The wind will be mostly northwesterly and moderate in strength. It will be active in the north of Upper Egypt, the Red Sea, and the Gulf of Suez, possibly disrupting maritime navigation.
 
Waves on the Mediterranean are expected to average between 1 meter and 1.5 meters high, while on the Red Sea they should be 2 to 2.5 meters high. A northwesterly surface wind is expected on both seas.
