Atef Hassan, chairman of the Petrobel company, has said that the natural gas reserves of the company's concession area amounted to 1,956 billion cubic feet in June 2014.
This came during Petroleum Minister Tarek al-Mullah's visit to the Abordes field in South Sinai.
Hassan added that 400 billion cubic feet of natural gas were produced during the 2014 – 2015 fiscal year.
He also said that the company made a significant discovery in the Nidoku area of the Nile Delta, producing 88 million cubic feet per day, in addition to another 70 million cubic feet which will be added soon.
