Haifa Wehbe criticized over new clip

Some Arab viewers criticized Lebanese singer Haifa Wehbe's new music video "Breathing You In", her first clip released in English, just minutes after it debuted on MTV International Channel and on YouTube, due to scenes that some said were too sexual for Arab societies.

Lebanese writers criticized Haifa's clothes in the video, accusing her of courting Western audiences with sexual scenes that are not appropriate for Arab audiences.

Directed by Tarek Freitekh, the clip was shot on a Las Vegas farm, as well as in the NASA headquarters. Haifa also had announced that Jennifer Lopez's designer would contribute to the clip.

Haifa is preparing for a series “Mariam” where she plays contrasting roles of a businesswoman and a less-talented woman.
