Health Ministry: 4 killed, 12 injured in 3 bombings

The Ministry of Health and Population announced Friday the death of four people and the injury of 12 others in three bombings in South Sinai and Cairo.

Two bombings occurred in South Sinai as a suicide bomber blew himself up at a checkpoint, 5 km away from Mount Sinai, killing two and injuring five others, the Health Ministry said in a statement. The injured were transferred to al-Tor Military Hospital and Sharm al-Sheikh International Hospital.

The second bombing which occured 30 km away from Mount Sinai killed one and injured four others. The injured were transferred to al-Tor Public Hospital, the statement read.

The bombing which took place in Heliopolis, Cairo, killed one and injured three others. They were transferred to Heliopolis Hospital, the statement added.
