Heavy rains fell in North Sinai on Wednesday and temperatures dropped significantly, according to meteorologists.
Main streets, squares, as well as the entrances and exits of Arish city, were inundated by rainwater. Electricity was out across several parts of North Sinai. Markets were empty of passersby, as residents preferred to stay at home.
The main taskforce of the governorate resumed work, along with other concerned authorities, throughout the day to receive any reports about weather conditions.
