Hot weather expected Wednesday

Meteorologists are predicting hot weather on Wednesday for most parts of the country, with top temperatures reaching 38 degrees centigrade in Cairo and Lower Egypt, 39 degrees in Sharm el-Sheikh, 46 degrees in Luxor and 47 degrees in Aswan.
 

The weather will feel fresher along the north coast, with highs of 30 degrees centigrade for Alexandria.

Low to medium level cloud cover will spread in over the north of the country, moving down towards Cairo and bringing with it a chance of some light rain. 

The prevailing wind will be northwesterly and moderately strong. It will be accompanied by dust and sand in Sinai and the northern areas of Upper Egypt.
 
Waves on the Mediterranean Sea are expected to average between 1.5 and two meters high, while the Red Sea will see waves of between one to two meter-high waves. A northwesterly surface wind will blow in over both seas.
