Ismailia kicks off campaign to promote archaeological discoveries

Ismailia Governor Yassin Taher announced the start of a tourism campaign targeting recent archaeological discoveries in the Suez Canal province.

Taher told Al-Masry Al-Youm that he asked for a list of the province’s archaeological attractions to be put on the governorate’s website and translated into several languages.

On top of the targeted attractions is the Citadel of Basmatic, a 26th Pharaoh Dynasty discovery 11 km west of the Suez Canal, announced by the Antiquities Ministry on Tuesday.
