Israel allows 300 commodities, fuel trucks into Gaza

Israeli authorities allowed 300 trucks laden with fuel and aid commodities into the Gaza Strip through the Kerem Shalom crossing southeast of the strip on Thursday.

Raed Fattouh, who heads a committee coordinating the arrival of cargo to the enclave, said the new batch contains goods directed to the commercial, agricultural and transportation sector.

According to Fattouh, Israeli authorities have allowed limited fuel supplies to Gaza’s power generation plant, as well as the private sector.

Kerem Shalom is the only commercial crossing through which goods and fuel enter the blockaded strip. It is closed every Friday and Saturday.
