Minister announces best 9 conglomerates for Maspero Triangle development

Urban Development Minister Laila Iskandar has announced the best nine out of 36 conglomerates in the contest to develop the Maspero slums triangle.
 
“They were chosen on July 16 from Jordan, The United States, Germany, Japan, Italy, Canada and Korea,” the minister said. “The contest was announced through our embassies abroad on June 5.”
 
She said the pre-qualifications were prepared by specialized Egyptian and global firms and approved by the International Union of Architects so as to achieve the best international standards for the development of the project.
 
“We are serious about developing the place,” she said.
