Morsi espionage trial adjourned to Feb 8

Cairo Criminal Court adjourned Wednesday the trial of toppled President Mohamed Morsi and 10 Muslim Brotherhood members to February 8 over charges of espionage for revealing national security documents to Qatar.

The defendants face charges of embezzling reports by military intelligence, the Armed Forces, the National Security Agency and the Administrative Control Authority that included confidential data.

The previous session was adjourned to bring the seventh suspect from prison and hear testimony of Cairo’s general transportation authority chief. It also ordered the summoning of a technical person to exhibit the CDs presented during the last session.

The court also ordered for a copy of the decision on the dissolution of the Muslim Brotherhood and resuming arrest of suspects.
