Morsy’s son: Facebook hacked, denies father’s death

Son of deposed president Mohamed Morsy denied on Monday news of his father's death. Osama, who is the family’s spokesperson, said the page was hacked, adding that what is posted on it does not represent them.

In remarks to the press, Osama Morsy said, “I totally deny what was posted on the family’s page today on the death of President Mohamed Morsy. He is in good health.”

The page reported Morsy's death before a group called “Wolves of Abdel Nasser” claimed responsibility for the hacked page.

The hackers left a message to Morsy supporters saying, “To those affiliated to the corrupt group, the non-Muslim Brotherhood. Islam is innocent of you and your violence. Egyptians will not let you mess with their properties. You’re serving your masters of violence and terrorism in Turkey and Qatar.”

The last statement issued by Osama on Facebook was made on 25 October, when he offered condolences for the deaths of 31 soldiers in a bloody attack in Sinai.
