Egypt

Noticeably cooler weather for most areas Thursday

A noticeable drop in temperatures is forecast for Thursday, with highs of 33 degrees centigrade predicted for Cairo, 27 degrees in Alexandria and 31 degrees in Taba.

Upper Egypt and parts of Sinai will be very hot, but will nevertheless experience a decline in temperatures compared to the early part of this week, with top temperatures of 38 degrees centigrade in Sharm El-Sheikh and 42 degrees in Luxor.

A northwesterly wind could whip up sand and dust in the south of the country, the Suez Gulf and around the Red Sea coasts.

Waves on the Mediterranean waves will average a height of between one and 1.5 meters, while on the Red Sea, waves will be between 1.5 to two meters tall. The wind direction on both seas will be northwesterly.
