Poetry festival to be launched in Tanta Friday

The first session of Tanta International Poetry Festival will be launched Friday by the Gharbiya Poetry Association for Writers and Artists.
 
The association is headed by poet Mahmoud Sharaf.
 
Over thirty poets from 15 Arab and foreign countries will be attending the festival, which will be held for the first time.
 
The festival will continue over four days. The poetry will be presented in different places in Tanta City and neighboring cities during the day and at night. 
 
On the closing session, a folklore band called Kafr al-Shorafaa will present a show.
 
Participants are from Mexico, Colombia, Russia, the United States, Italy, France, Denmark, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Iraq, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Oman and others. Eighteen Egyptian poets will take part in the festival.
