Railway Museum to be open for free starting March

The Railway Museum, located at Ramsis train station, will be open to visitors for free starting March 1, on the occasion of the first anniversary of its opening following renovation works, said Railway Authority Chairman Medhat Shousha.

In press remarks on Sunday, Shousha said this step comes as the authority's contribution toward promoting local tourism.

The museum was opened in March 2016 after being renovated at a cost of LE10 million.

Established in 1933, this venue was the first of its kind in the Middle East and the second national railway museum.
