Red Sea governor inspects Shazly village ahead of annual Mawlid

Red Sea Governor Major General Ahmed Abdallah inspected the al-Sheikh al-Shazly village, a village named after a well-known Sufi sheikh, ahead of the annual celebration of the Aboul Hassan al-Shazly Mawlid, which will be held a few days ahead of Eid al-Adha.

Approximately half a million visitors from Egypt and the Arab world will take part in the celebration.

Shazly village is 180 km southwest of Marsa Alam City in the Abu Humaithara valley.

Abdallah inspected renovations at the village's mosque, including 80 new water faucets and 10 bathrooms. The 16 existing bathrooms within the mosque have been renovated.

Abdallah also requested ambulances be on site during the celebration, in case of an emergency.
