Revolutions of the Hungry, a new book at cultural centers

The General Authority for Cultural Palaces has published a book titled “Revolutions of the Hungry”, a sociological reading of revolutions in Egypt's history written by Salah Hashem.

In the book, the author tries to answer the questions of why revolutions erupt, who carried it out, what were the mobilization methods against the regime and what was the results of the revolutions. He also touches on the damages that the country has borne and the most affected by the revolutions.

This was his method starting from the Pharaonic era through to the Ptolemaic, Roman and Islamic eras and ending with the 25 January revolution that he calls a hybrid of the conflict between hunger and dignity.
