Ruling adjourned in case to annul law demarcating constituencies

The Administrative Court of the State Council decided to postpone the ruling in a lawsuit demanding the cancelation of the law demarcating constituencies for being unconstitutional to 3 February.

Chairman of Forsan Misr Party (Egypt's Knights Party) Abdel Rafe' Darwish filed a lawsuit caliming the unconstitutionality of the House of Representatives elections law demanding its cancelation.

Critics of the controversial law say it does allow Egyptians to be equally represented in their constituencies, giving urban areas like Cairo a disproportionately large number of delegates while not adequately representing rural areas.
