Marsa Matrouh security services thwarted an attempt by 170 people to cross the Egyptian-Libyan border via al-Saloum city illegally.
Marsa Matrouh security chief al-Anany Hammouda was notified on Tuesday evening that 170 Egyptians including 94 people from Minya, 15 from Sohag, 14 from Fayoum, six from Qena, nine from Assiut, nine from Beheira, six from Sharqiya, seven from Daqahliya, three from Qalyubia, three from Gharbiya, two from Kafr al-Sheikh and two from Damietta were arrested while accessing Egypt via Libya illegally.
The suspects will be transferred to military prosecution.
