Sisi likely to address Ethiopian parliament: Sources

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi will visit the Sudanese and Ethiopian capitals of Khartoum and Addis Ababa between 22 and 25 March, according to informed governmental sources, which added that the agreement on Grand Renaissance Dam had not been signed yet.
 
Sisi is expected to give a speech at the Ethiopian parliament and hold talks with Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn.
 
Ethiopian Government Communication Affairs Office Minister Redwan Hussein said Sisi will arrive in Addis Ababa for a three-day visit starting Monday.
 
In remarks published by the Turkish Anadolu Agency, Hussein added that Sisi will hold talks with senior Ethiopian officials including the prime minister. He is expected to address the Ethiopian parliament.
 
Sisi will be accompanied by a delegation of businessmen. The visit might include a meeting for the Ethiopian-Egyptian business council.
 
In related news, Investment Minister Ashraf Salman received Ethiopian Industry Ministry Ahmed Abtew, who is currently visiting Egypt with a delegation of governmental officials, investors and representatives of Ethiopian companies, to take part in a Cairo fair and attend the Egyptian-Ethiopian economic forum. During the meeting, Abtew called on his Egyptian counterpart to visit Ethiopia to closely acknowledge available investment opportunities as well as governmental plans to create an investment atmosphere.
 
Salman gave instructions to coordinate with the Ethiopian officials over organizing an investment mission that includes investors, businessmen and representatives of companies interested in engaging into African markets.
