Six human rights organizations demand release of pardoned activist

Six human rights organizations called for the release of activist Nahed Sherif, known as Nahed Bibo, who was supposed to be among the 100 detainees given pardon by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi during Eid al-Adha.

Sherif has not been released although the pardon was issued eight days ago.

Nazra for Feminist Studies and five other hunan rights organizations issued a statement on Thursday demanding Sherif's release and held the Interior Ministry responsible for her physical and psychological conditions.

Sherif was arrested along with others detained during a march on June 21 to Ettihadeya Presidential Palace.
