Temperatures to drop slightly on Wednesday

A gradual decline in temperatures is forecast for most parts of Egypt on Wednesday, according to meteorologists.

In a press release, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority said warm weather will prevail across northern coasts to be accompanied by rain. Low- and medium-level rain clouds will be seen in the north and South Sinai. There will be occasional thunder and heavy rainfall across the eastern coasts and South Sinai.

Highs of 24C will be felt in Cairo and 20C in Alexandria.

Moderate northwestern winda will blow on most parts, whipping up sand and dust in the south.

Mediterranean and Red Sea waves will reach 2-2.5 meters, with northeastern winds blowing across the Mediterranean and southwestern winds on the Red Sea.

Warm weather will prevail in Upper Egypt during the daytime, to fall to extremely cold temperatures overnight.

Highs of 24C will be felt in Qena, 25C in Luxor and 27C in Aswan.
