Temperatures expected to decline starting Wednesday

Temperatures are expected to decline by 3-4 degrees from Wednesday to Friday, according to head of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority Ahmed Abdel Aal. He added that the lowest drop in temperature will be marked on Thursday.

In a press release on Tuesday, Abdel Aal said low- and medium-level clouds will be seen across most parts, to be accompanied by rains on northern coasts, Delta provinces and Cairo, north of Upper Egypt, Sinai and Red Sea mountains. Heavy rain will fall on northeastern coasts and thunderstorms are to be expected.

Winds will blow across most parts, whipping up dust toward the south, which will reduce visibility on highways and disturb maritime navigation in the Red and Mediterranean seas.

Maximum temperatures are expected to reach between 14-16C on northern coasts and North Sinai, 15-17C in Delta and Cairo, 16-18C in northern Upper Egypt, 18-20C in Upper Egypt and 17-19C in South Sinai.
