A number of residents of the North Sinai town of Rafah report they have been notified about the planned third phase of the evacuation, which will cover the area of 1,000 meters adjacent to the border, and is expected to begin after the month of Ramadan.
The residents added they had received instructions stating the date of the implementation of the third phase of evacuation for early next month, and bringing the total evacuated area to about 2,000 meters.
A security source said the third phase will include the neighborhoods of al-Safa, al-Ahrash, and Imam Ali which include about 10,000 households.
The second phase has witnessed the evacuation of 2,050 families, living in 1,220 homes. Their houses have been destroyed by the army.
