Three Brotherhood marches in Helwan, security intensified

Dozens of Muslim Brotherhood supporters gathered in front of Al-Huda Mosque in the Helwan Gardens district after the Friday prayers to call for boycotting the presidential elections.

Then they marched to roam the streets of the neighborhood, chanting slogans against the army and the police and flashing the Rabaa sign.

The National Alliance to Support Legitimacy had called for demonstrations throughout the week to reject the presidential elections.

Meanwhile, another march started from the Al-Zahraa Mosque in Tebbin, Helwan, also chanting slogans against the army and the police, and a third one moved from Omar ibn al-Khattab Mosque in Maasara.

Security was stepped up around the Helwan Police Station and troops patrolled the streets to face the demonstrations.
