Medical sources in Arish city have reported that one police officer and two soldiers were injured in an IED explosion in North Sinai Tuesday evening.
The injured police officer is Captain Mohamed Essam Eddin. The two soldiers are Mohamed Abdel Wahed and Hamada Hosni, according to the sources.
The IED exploded when an armored vehicle transporting the security agents passed by the bomb.
In other regional news, security authorities arrested 58 suspected extremists during a crackdown in Rafah and Sheikh Zuweid on Tuesday.
