Three ships carrying 5,371 tourists arrive in Safaga, Hurghada

Three tourist ships arrived on Thursday at the seaports of Safaga and Hurghada carrying 5,371 tourists from different nationalities along with 2,648 crew members on board.

Malak Youssef, spokesperson of the Red Sea Ports Authority, said in a press release on Thursday that Safaga seaport received the Maltese Mein Schiff 3 ship with 2,850 tourists and 1,300 crew members on board, coming from Aqaba seaport; while 2,030 tourists and 1,002 crew members came on board the Norweigan Star, which came from Aqaba.

Meanwhile, Hurghada seaport received the tourist ship Al Batros with 491 German tourists and 346 crew members on board, coming from Salalah in Oman. The tourists will visit Luxor, Aswan, the Valley of the Kings, the Temples of Hatshepsut and Karnak, as well as Giftun island.

Major General Hesham Abu Senna, head of the authority, stressed that all measures and coordination with navigational agencies are in place to provide air-conditioned buses to transport the visitors from the seaport to start their tours.
