Tourists queue up in Hurghada airport due to shortage of passport control officers

Travel agencies have complained that tourists are queuing up for an hour or two in Hurghada airport because there are not enough passport control officers.

Hazem Ibrahim, a tourist guide, said travel agencies receive many complaints from tourists, especially the elderly, children and pregnant women, about having to wait for too long to obtain visas.

Airport sources said the officials are checking why there are not enough officers when there are nine counters in each arrival hall.
