UPDATE: Sinai Province claims responsibility for North Sinai bomb blast

The Sinai Province, a jihadist group in North Sinai, has claimed responsibility for the bombing of a bus full of soldiers in Arish Sunday morning.
 
"After the government announced the extension of the state of emergency and curfew in the town of Arish, the organization, in a blessed security operation, bombed a bus carrying a large number of police forces using an improvised explosive device," a statement allegedly belonging to the group and published on Twitter mentioned.
 
A bomb targeting a military bus went off in Arish City, North Sinai Sunday, injuring up to 18 armed forces soldiers, according to a medical source. 
 
The source added that ambulances transported the victims to the Arish Military Hospital.
 
Eyewitnesses said security closed Arish's international road in the al-Kholafaa area following the incident.
 
A security source said another large IED was found at the site of the blast. He added that the area at risk was cordoned off by security forces, after which bomb squads dismantled the bomb.
