Warm weather to prevail Tuesday

Meteorologists expect warm weather in the north, in Cairo and in the northern part of Upper Egypt on Tuesday.

Temperatures will be higher in southern Upper Egypt during the day, but will cool down at night.

Mist will affect visibility in the morning along the north coast, in Lower Egypt, Cairo and the Suez Canal cities.

Low-level and medium-level clouds will appear in the north. Heavier cloud coverage will appear over the Red Sea mountain chains and the Hala'ib and Shalateen cities, accompanied by light rain.

The wind will be mostly northeasterly, and light to moderate in force. It will be active, however, on the Gulf of Suez and the Red Sea, disrupting navigation.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea are expected to reach between 1-2 meters high and surface winds will be northeasterly.

Waves in the Red Sea are expected to range between 2-3 meters high, with northeasterly surface winds as well.

Maximum temperature expected on Tuesday: Cairo: 27C, Alexandria: 25C, Sharm el-Sheikh: 27C, Hurghada: 27C, Luxor: 28C, Aswan: 29C
