This week's unstable weather is expected to reach its peak on Thursday. Rain clouds will be seen in the north down as far as northern Upper Egypt, Sinai and Red Sea mountains. Heavy rain will fall on northeastern coasts, along with thunderstorms.
Cairo and Alexandria will see highs of 15C.
Northwestern winds will blow across most parts, whipping up sand and dust toward the south, Red Sea, Mediterranean and Suez Gulf, disturbing maritime navigation and increasing the chill from the cold weather.
Those northwesterlies will make Mediterranean and Red Sea waves rise to 2.5-3 meters.
Highs of 17C will be felt in Qena, 18C in Luxor and Aswan.
