Weather forecast for Wednesday

Cold weather will prevail throughout the northern coasts of Egypt, turning moderate in Cairo and the Delta, according to meteorologists.

Low- and medium-level clouds are expected on Wednesday on most parts, accompanied by rains in the North Coast and Sinai; heavier rains accompanied by thunder are predicted to the west.

Highs of 18 degrees centigrade will be felt in Cairo and 17 degrees in Alexandria.

Moderate northwesterly winds will blow on the Suez Gulf and the Red Sea, disturbing maritime navigation.

The height of Mediterranean waves will reach between 1.5 to two meters with northwesterly winds blowing; whereas the height of the Red Sea waves will reach between two to 2.5 meters, with northwesterly wind prevailing.

Warmer weather will be felt in Upper Egypt, turning cold at night. Highs of 23 degrees will be reached in Qena and Luxor; and 25 degrees in Aswan.
