Work resumes at Foreign Ministry a day after explosion

Work has resumed normally at the Foreign Ministry on Monday, a day after the blast that occurred in the vicinity of the ministry in the ​​Bulaq Abul Ela neighborhood.

Foreign diplomats visited the ministry and met with officials of both its diplomatic and administrative departments.
 
Tight security measures were applied at the gates and all cars entering were carefully inspected.
 
An official source said on Sunday the building was not damaged from the blast, denying it was evacuated. He also said surveillance camera recordings will be viewed to identify the perpetrators of the attack. 
 
An explosion took place on Sunday in the Bulaq Abul Ela district near the Foreign Ministry, killing two policemen and wounding seven others.
